Quality Guarantee
We stand by our berries and strive to provide the best quality blueberries possible to our customers. We meticulously sort our berries to remove berries that don't meet color and quality standards, but we're human and at times have large volumes of fruit being harvested and passing through our farm. If you find the berries you purchased to be poor quality (ie. lots of shriveled, soft, or moldy fruit), you are welcome to bring the box back within 24 hrs of purchase to be exchanged on a case-by-case basis. We will do our best to exchange with the same variety. Proper berry storage is incredibly important for quality retention, so fresh berries purchased should be refrigerated as soon as possible after pick up and washed before use. They are perishable food items. Berry exchanges for poor quality will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to refuse exchanging fruit where quality issues are a result of improper storage by the customer (ie. leaving berries in a hot car for the day while running errands and wanting to exchange later because fruit is too soft).
Fruit quality and characteristics also fluctuate across the season with changing weather and field conditions as well as with each pick and each variety. For instance, the flavor profile and sweetness of our Duke berries can change from first to third pick, Bluecrop will be softer and have a shorter shelf life than our firmer varieties, and Elliott has a tendency to be very tart in comparison. We love the variety in our varieties across a season, and we just ask you keep in mind that not every box of berries will be the same! We will always do our best to educate and will gladly provide a sample if you would like to try our current berries before you purchase!
