The mild, temperate climate and being the drainage basin of one of the largest rivers in Canada, the Fraser River, makes the Fraser Valley an optimal agricultural region. A history of glaciation and glacial deposits have made the soils rich with nutrients and one of the best places in the world for growing blueberries.
BC produces over 90% of Canada's blueberries, many of which get exported to countries such as the US, China, and Japan. Many BC blueberries also stay local too, and at our farm we prioritize getting fresh berries to our local communities first before sending our berries away to be commercially packed. By buying your berries from a local farm in BC, you're getting world-renowned berries as fresh as you can get them. |
Pitt Meadows. BC
The majority of our acreage is spread over four farms in Pitt Meadows, it's where we first got our start and we love our community. Pitt Meadows ranks sixth across BC in terms of agricultural production, is comprised of 78% agricultural land, and produces up to 20% of the province's blueberries. Our town sits at the confluence of the Pitt and Fraser Rivers, providing us an abundance of fertile soil, water, and rich surrounding ecosystems that make it a fantastic, beautiful place to be farmers. |
Fort Langley, BC
In 2000, we expanded our operations beyond Pitt Meadows to the nearby town of Fort Langley, where we currently have three farms. Our farms are located in the rich prairies of Glenn Valley along Nathan Creek. Farming is an important part of Langley's identity (important to 95% of residents to be exact!), as is local food production. Interestingly enough, our berries at our Langley farms tend to ripen later than our Pitt Meadows farms! This is usually the opposite as you go east, though it allows us to stager our harvests to better manage our crop and retain fruit quality each year. |
